東京でも桜が咲き始めましたね。
日本を離れていたせいもあるけれど、
例年通り、ゆっくりと進んでいく季節の営みを目にすると
今年はとてもほっとします。
そうそう、先日、多摩川に足を運んだんですが
稚鮎の遡上もしっかり始まっていました。

というわけで、上の写真は今日のサクラです。
ウチの目の前は桜の名所。
もうしばらくすれば、一面が桜色に染まるでしょう。
春の色ですねぇ。

しかし、ここで桜を撮るようになって、はや4年目かぁ。
毎年、同じような写真撮ってますけど…。

というわけで、去年のサクラはコチラ。

大きな木を見上げて。

山頂のすぐ傍。見上げると、空に向って腕を広げる大きな木。
巨木は、人を安心させる力を持っているように思います。

旅の途中、日本の山を懐かしく感じていたので
昨日土曜日は、近くの小さな山へ散歩に出かけてきました。
…山頂は、駅から歩いてすぐ。

おいしい紅茶の召し上がり方。

チャイ、まぁつまりはミルクティーです。

バラナシを去るときにインドの人に頂いたお土産。

日本に帰ってきました。
暑い国から帰ってきてなんだけど、あたたかい風が
すっかりこの国の春を告げています。出国のときは寒かったので…。

まだ数日ですが、東京での穏やかな日々。
震災の傷跡は、あちこちに見てとれますが、
まずは穏やかに、普段の生活を送ること。
今の僕に出来ることは、それしかないですからね。

しばらくは仕事も無さそうだし…。
インド土産のチャイでも飲んで、のんびり行きましょう。


Do the life as usual.
This is important for us,now.
Don't cry,not scream,without panic.
Some people says bad things through internet over and over again.
But we have to remember,many people are struggling
against this situation without cry,without scream.
We should keep quiet life for do not cause panic,troubles anymore.
And let's wait for time when we can become their help.

情報の功罪。

情報の錯綜が混乱の原因になると以前書きました。
どうしても気になるので、ここにまとめてみます。

東京ですら、人々は余震や放射能を怖がりながら暮らしています。
東北は今の僕には想像もできないけど、不安定な精神状況の中、
なんとか生活を営もうとしている。

普段通りに生活し、周りの人と安心感を分かち合うこと。
商品や資源を浪費しないこと。しっかり健康管理をして病院に頼らないこと。
これがまず私たちにできる最初の一歩です。

不安の中、人々は情報を欲しがります。
だから、どうしても流れの速いツイッターを見てしまう。
何か希望を、何か確かな情報を…と開いた画面から

小舟で渡ったガンジス川の対岸に立っていた少年。
時折インドで出会う人々の、視線の強さに惹かれます。
目の力は、意志の強さを現しているのでしょうか。

ヒンドゥー教の聖地・バラナシで静かに考えて
旅の切り上げを決意しました。現在、帰国のための準備を進めています。

以前「日本に帰っても出来ることは無い」とここで書きました。
でも、ささやかですが一つだけ出来ることを見つけました。
不安を抱えている家族のそばにいること。
そのために今回の旅をいったんは切り上げても良いと思えたのです。

東京では未だ余震が続き、怯えながら日々を過ごす人が多いと聞いています。
東北地方の方々がどのように過ごされているのか、
情報では知り得ても、想像することすら適いません。
僕たち日本はこれから、強い意志を持って進んでいかなければならない。
ガンガーの岸に立って遠くを見やる少年の横顔を見たとき、
ふとそんなことを思いました。

数日中に帰国します。


When I saw this boy's face,I had felt strongness of will.
And then,I decided that stop this travel and go back to JAPAN.

Now I started preparation for flight to Japan already.
I must quit traveling.It is regrettable.
But now I'm going back.
I wrote "There's nothing I can do for Japan,only pray".
But I found it.This is small and quiet thing but important.
That's be with my family.
In Tokyo,earthquakes and nuclear worry still scares people.
My family also lives in fear.

I'm really sorry that cannot meet to my friends again in Nepal.
Arjun,Ramon,Achat...I'm sorry.

But I have to go back.
And we must keep going with strong will and hope.
Maybe in few days,I'll be in my country Japan.

浄めの河から。

急かされて、23時間も移動を続けてカトマンズからインドのバラナシへ入りました。
もっとゆっくり行くつもりだったのですが…。

I'm praying.

はじめに飛び込んできたのは、家族からのメールでした。
「無事です」という文字が目にしたとき
何が起こったのか、一瞬わかりませんでした。

ポータルサイトでニュースをチェックして愕然とします。
その後も、ツイッターを見て色々な人の情報や混乱を感じました。
アルジュンのオフィスに行って、テレビのニュースをチェックしました。
ここネパールでも、日本の惨状を伝えるニュースが繰り返し流されています。

今現在も、深刻なニュースが次々と僕の目に飛び込んできます。
日本にいないことに罪悪感を感じています。
帰国も考えましたが、その行為は何にも寄与しない。
祈ることしか出来ません。

皆さん、どうか無事でいてください。
そして平穏な日々が、一日も早く日本に戻りますように。

村の郊外を歩いていると、川辺で一人、水浴びを楽しむゾウに出会いました。


In Chitwan,I saw many elephants.
They are very quiet and funny guys.
And also,are good labor for human.
Elephant ride,Convey heavy commodities and so on.

Elephants very attractive animals,we only get to meet them at zoo in Japan,
But here in this Sauraha village,you can see them anytime you want.
Now I'll show you some pictures of them.

I visited Chitwan.
This is a very famous National Park in Nepal.
I think that walking by own is the best way to feel the nature.
During the trek,encountered some Rhinoceros.
That was quite different from see an animal from on the elephant.
It was very exciting experience for me.

ナショナルパークに隣接するソウラハ村に滞在。この村はツーリストでいっぱいです。
ゾウに乗るエレファント・サファリをはじめ、ジープやカヌーなど多彩なツアーがあります。
色々な景色を見ましたが、まずは一番印象深かったトレッキングのレポートから。

I got this news from FACEBOOK.
Yesterday was International Women's Day.
Jane was honored as one of the 100 most influential women in the world.

さて、カトマンズに戻ってきました。
FaceBookを覗いてみると、ジェーングドールが
世界の女性100人に選ばれたとか。

チンパンジーの研究ではもちろん、
日本では星野道夫との交流でもよく知られる彼女。

でも、僕の中でのインパクトは『罪無き殺し屋たち』。
アフリカの荒野でハイエナを追いかけて生活する
彼女と当時の夫であるカメラマン・ヒューゴーの描き出す広大な世界感が、
非常に印象に残っています。

色々大変なこともあるみたいですが、彼女のような存在を、
応援していきたいなと個人的には思っています。

どこまで行っても人・ヒト・ひと…。
なんとなく、京都の祇園祭りを思い出してしまいました。


yesterday,I tried to visit Pashupatinath.
But I couldn't. Because of too much people!
That looked like OMATSURI(traditional festival)in Japan.
The day(on March 2) was "Maha Shivaratri" Festival in Nepal
I saw only packed people,but that was very interesting.

息を切らして坂を登ると、目の前に現れた巨大な雪と岩の壁。
おそらく、この山がヌプツェ7879m。圧巻です。


Final report of Himalayan Trekking.
I got to Gorak Shep,and climb the hill Kala Pattar.
Finally,I reached over the 5000meters world.
That made from huge moutains,rocks,glacier and stormy winds.

I was suffered from HAS(high altitude sickness),so I had to go back and descend soon.
I stayed only one night there.That was really regrettable.
Someday,I'll come back here,someday...

Anyway,
Great thanks to HIMALAYAN Great nature.

いつもあれこれと考えます。
嵩張らない文庫本であることはもちろんですが、
熱中してすぐ読んでしまうような物語も向きません。
旅先で出会った旅行者と、どんどん交換していくのなら別ですが。
